Getting Started
SVHacks is an AI-first hackathon platform. Here's how to get up and running in minutes.
- 1Create an account: Sign up using your email. You'll receive a welcome confirmation once your account is created.
- 2Complete your profile: Add your details so teams and organizers can find you easily.
- 3Browse hackathons: Head to the Hackathons page to discover open and upcoming events.
- 4Register for an event: Click Register on any open hackathon. You can join solo or as part of a team.
Hackathon Statuses
status
Upcoming
The hackathon hasn't started yet. Registration may be open. Sign up early to secure your spot.
status
Live
The hackathon is currently active. Registered teams can submit their projects before the deadline.
status
Ended
The event is over. All submissions are visible and winners (if announced) are displayed on the hackathon page.
Teams & Collaboration
Hackathons on SVHacks support teams. You can create a new team or join an existing one from the hackathon management page after registering.
- 1Register for a hackathon: Click Register on the hackathon page. This unlocks your team management area.
- 2Create or join a team: From the Manage page, create a new team or join one using an invite from a teammate.
- 3Collaborate & submit: Work with your team during the live window, then submit your project before the deadline.
Submitting Your Project
Submissions are made from your team's manage page while the hackathon is live. Every submission must include the following:
Basic Information
- Project Title
- Short Description
- Long Description (detailed write-up of your project)
Presentation & Media
- Cover Image (banner for your project)
- Video Presentation (demo/walkthrough of your project)
- Slide Presentation (your project slides/deck)
Code & Demo
- Public GitHub Repository (all code must be written during the hackathon)
- Application / Demo URL (a live or hosted version of your project)
Judging Criteria
Projects are evaluated by judges on four criteria after the submission deadline.

Application of Technology
How effectively the chosen model(s) or technology are integrated into the solution.

Presentation
The clarity and effectiveness of the project presentation. How well you communicate what you built.

Business Value
The practical impact and value of your project, considering how well it fits real-world business needs.

Originality
The uniqueness and creativity of your solution. Novel approaches and the ability to demonstrate innovative behavior.
Winners are announced on the hackathon page after judging is complete. Results and all submitted projects are made public once the event ends.
